About Us
Esperia Travels is a small, family-run business. Mother and daughter team up
to offer guests their
combined years of experience in the areas of Italian culture,
travel, activities coordinating, and customer service. Esperia
Travels is a limited liability cooperation registered in the State
of Indiana.

Cynthia Abbott Zalambani is your Esperia Travels tour
director. She is an American expatriate who lives in a
town near Ravenna, Italy. Cynthia first visited Emilia
Romagna six years ago and has been travelling and exploring
the region ever since. Her love of people, enthusiasm
for travel, and knowledge of Emilia Romagna make her the
perfect host for your Italian dream vacation.

Before moving here, I knew little of the region, but during the years I
have lived here I have discovered many amazing things about this
little corner of Italy. It has so much to offer tourists in the
areas of culture, art, and history. And let’s not forget about the
food! Emilia Romagna is known to be the culinary heart of Italy
with Bologna as its undisputed, gastronomic capital.
These are things that I want to share with my guests who might have
not found such treasures on their own. I want to take them off
of the beaten path, show them what life is really like in Italy, and
share with them all of the things I love about Emilia Romagna.

Italian life, culture, and food, then I will have

Stephanie Abbott is the office manager of Esperia Travels,
located in the United States. She currently resides in the tranquil countryside of northern
Indiana. Stephanie’s first trip to Italy was in 2005, when she
travelled there for her daughter’s wedding. She immediately
fell in love with the romantic country. She caught the "Italy bug" during
that first trip and returns as often as possible to visit her daughter
and enjoy Italian life.
“During the years that Cynthia has lived in Italy, I have
traveled there often to visit her. My journeys have taken me
north to Venice and as far south as Naples, but the majority of my
time has been spent in Emilia Romagna. This beautiful region offers
so much more than I ever imagined. Every time I visit, I am in awe of the landscape,
architecture, and history that surrounds me.
At the end of each vacation, as my plane is returning me
home, I am already planning my next visit."
