Joseph Mallord
William Turner, known as "the painter of light", was a British
landscape painter who is accredited with laying the foundation
of impressionism. During his time in Italy, Turner made a
series of paintings and sketches of the breathtaking, Italian
countryside. These paintings would later come to be known as
the Italian paintings. This
collection is currently on display at the Palazzo dei Diamanti
in Ferrara till February 22, 2009.
Hours: Monday - Sunday from 9am till 9pm
Tickets cost 10 euro per person
