Join us for a fun filled day packed with history, architectural beauty, incredible food and plenty of laughter.  Esperia Travels now offers one day tours in the cities of Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna and Parma.

 

Our day together will begin with a morning walking tour.  A licensed, local guide will bring history alive as she shares her knowledge of the sites we visit.  As the morning comes to an end, we will enjoy an incredible, authentic, Italian meal at one of my favorite restaurants.  There we will eat like the Italians, sharing in great conversation while enjoying a leisurely lunch which will include an antipasto, a first dish of pasta, a second dish of meat and vegetables, dessert, mineral water, local wine and Italian style coffee.

What we do in the afternoon is completely up to you.  Guests can chose from a variety of activities.  In Ferrara we can take a walk along one of Italy's most complete ancient city wall or, if in Bologna, we can hike up two and a half miles of porticoed steps to the church of San Luca, where there are sweeping views of the surrounding hills.  Perhaps you will want to visit an artist's laboratory in Ravenna to learn how the mosaics are made or, if in Parma, we can pop into a cheese shop to learn about the art of Parmiggiano Reggiano cheese.
